About Me

My parents first traveled to Mexico from Long Island, New York in the mid 1950s. They drove there in their 1954 Dodge.  My sister and I (ages 6 and 8) were left behind with our grandparents.  I must have inherited the "love Mexico" gene from them.  I have since visited that country close to 20 times.  My travel bug came as a bit of a surprise since as a young girl I got homesick sleeping over across the street at my best friend Alice's house AND at girl scout camp with sister, cousin and Alice.

During my senior year in high school, I waitressed at a Howard Johnsons and saved enough for my first trip to Guadalajara, Mexico.  I knew that if I got homesick I was doomed for life, but here I am writing of my travels, so you can see, that doom did not arrive. I have traveled ever since.

I am a hairstylist by profession with many clients.  When I return from a trip, every one of them asks "How was your trip?"  Well, telling the same stories over and over makes the trip feel far away quite quickly, not to mention compromising the hair cut I am doing.  So I started handwriting a story on the airplane home.  The feelings are cemented in my mind.  Within a day, I have typed the story into the computer and added a few photos.  I can now hand the story to my clients, talk less and make the travel magic last longer.

Happy Reading and HAPPY TRAVELS
